The Peebles Lions Club sponsors the festival annually with one goal in mind, to help our community. Now in our 44th year! Our biggest project is our Lions Eyesight Program, we collect eyeglasses and help pay for eye exams for those without insurance who are in need of assistance. The Lions help our community, a person must fill out an application, show proof of income, and have used all other means of help from community or government resources. We help families once a year with such things as gas expense to a doctor appointment, eyeglass exam, and other needs. We donate gloves and hats for children at our local elementary school, sponsor good student awards at the high school and give college scholarships to graduating seniors.
Mission Statement: To create and foster a spirit of understanding among all people for humanitarian needs by providing voluntary services through community involvement and international cooperation.
Lions motto: "We Serve."
Lions Meetings: Lions club members meet the 2nd Monday of each month, except for July - September when we are working on our community festival. We meet at 7 p.m. at the Peebles Lions Club building on Charlotte Avenue, Peebles, Ohio.
Old Timers Festival Committee: The festival committee consists largely of Lions Club members also meet the 3rd Monday of each month all year. Committees are forming, if you would like to help join us at our next meeting. We can use the help.
