September 16-19, 2010

Our theme this year is, "Celebrating Rural America".  This is our 42nd festival and the OTD committee is working hard to make the festival the best it can be.  We have contests galore, entertainment and much more family friendly fun.  Browse the website to find information on our history, pageants, daily events, rules and entertainment schedule.

This year we are adding an antique division to our parade in celebration of our theme, "Celebrating Rural America".  Part of our history comes from machinary of the past and we look forward to seeing all your old time items in the parade.

We have one stage for entertainment until we can get another stage, all the entertainment will be located on the Main Stage unless otherwise noted.

All pageants and baby shows are pre-registered to save time.  The baby show and toddler events on Saturday morning are open to anyone.  All other pageants are for Peebles residents only.

We will have a couple of new things this year, one being the amusement company who is allowing a ride bracelet for 4 hours on Friday afternoon for $12. or pre-festival sale for $10.  We are having Irish Dancers on Saturday, this group of children are sure to 'wow' the audience.  They perform each year at the Circleville Pumpkin Show.

The Kiddie Olympics are back!  These activities will take place on Saturday afternoon in the O.K. Auto Parts area and First State Bank lot.  Bring the kids out for some old fashion fun.

Old Timer's Days Festival Committee

Meet the folks who work hard all year round to make the festival possible, it takes a community, one person cannot do it alone.  Feel free to call an event chairperson for information not posted on the website.  Contact us if you want to help with our festival. We always welcome volunteers and you do not have to be a Lion Club member to contribute.

The Peebles Lions Club sponsors festival annually to support their community

Peebles Lions Club has sponsored the OTD Festival for many years with one goal in mind, to help our community.  This is our 42nd year and this past year we have helped the community with medical bills, trips to the doctor for handicapped children, coats for schoolchildren and adults, our biggest project is our eyesight program, where we collect used glasses to give to those who cannot afford them.  Many unemployed families are in need of help with food, shelter, and clothing. Our outreach program is here to also help these people in need.

Mission Statement: To create and foster a spirit of understanding among all people for humanitarian needs by providing voluntary services through community involvement and international cooperation.

Lions motto: "We Serve."

Lions club members meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month, except for July and August.  We meet at 7 p.m. at the Peebles Methodist Church.

2010 Updates and Notices

Meetings are the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. - new members are welcome! Next meeting will be the fourth Tuesday due to the fair schedule, we will meet on July 26, 2010, at 7 p.m. at the community building. New members are welcome.

Vendors are still being accepted.  Early bird specials ended in June, but we have spots available at prices that cannot be beat anywhere else.  We are taking crafters for the craft house too.

The committee has chosen a new amusement ride company this year.  Rides will be provided by Cromer United Amusement Company.  Tickets for an arm band go on sale in July for $10.  they will be $12. at the ticket booth during the festival.

We are looking for an electrician to help during festival week.  If you are a certified electrician, we could use your help.  Our electrician of over 30 years has retired and we need one as soon as possible.

Entertainment is still being booked for 2010.  Most spots are taken but if you are interested you must submit a demo CD to the Entertainment Chairperson.  Contact her at: 937-587-3749 for details.
