*Pre-register by September 12, 2010, at PHS with Beth McElwee. 

Judges meet the contestants prior to stage introduction at 5/3rd Bank. All contestants must live in Peebles district or attend a school with Peebles as their home school. Queen and her court will meet at the bank after the pageant for a quick meeting to discuss Queen's court duty sheet during the festival

All crafts to be in place.  Photography will be taking contest entries until closing.

3rd Annual Art & Photography Contest- All entries in place by opening ceremony, if possible, no photos will be taken after Thursday evening.  For amateurs only.  Enter as many photos per category as you like, no frames, no professional photos accepted. Photos any size up to an 8 x 10.  We will be pinning these entries and cannot guarantee their safety.  Please do not bring originals. Not responsible for lost or damaged photos.

 

New! Artist show, enter your favorite painting, drawing, sketch to win a gift certificate. $2. per entry and must not be a professional artist. No entries after Thursday evening at closing.(More details later.)

 

Plans are being made for a professional artists & photographers show. 

 

Rules: Must be a professional photographer or artist who makes money at selling your work.  All photos must be 8X10 or larger and framed.  Each entry will have an entry fee, the photographer needs to post their bio or business card with photo or artwork.  You may sell your work after the show, but we ask for a 10% good faith donation from the sale to the Peebles Lions Club. 


 

Rules: Amatuer photos are to be taken by the entrants and must not have won a prize in this contest in the past. Winners will be posted in photography room on Saturday.  The time will be announced. Rules posted on this site. All judges decisions are final. A list of winners will be announced and only the overall trophy winner will be awarded their trophy on stage.

 

There are no resident restrictions for this contest, it is open to any one, any age.

Cutie Pie & Cutie Pet Contest- Mail each entry with $2.00 fee to Cutie Pie or Cutie Pet Contest, c/o Marie Palmer, P.O. Box 243, Peebles, Ohio 45660 or bring registered entries in after opening ceremony. If entering by mail you need to mail it before Monday, September 15, 2010, to ensure it is here on time. Winners will be announced at 7:30 p.m. on stage Saturday night.  Any photo submitted without a name will forfeit their award, if he or she cannot be identified.  Penny votes will determine the winner.  Cutie Pie is boys 0-14 and girls 0-14.  Overall winning boy & girl will be crowned Cutie Pie Prince & Princess and ribbons will go to the next two winners in the boys and girls. Cutie Pet will consist of 1st through 3rd place winners. 

 

There are no resident restrictions for this contest, it is open to everyone. 

 

Chairpersons: Marie Palmer & Richard LaValley.  Participant with the most money votes is the winner in each category and will be crowned on Saturday evening on stage.  Winners ride in the parade on Sunday and must furnish their own ride. All decisions are final. 

No refunds, this is a Lions Club fundraiser and all proceeds from entries and penny votes go to the Peebles Lions Club charities.

Pull begins with weigh-in for classes up to 100 pounds.  Boys and girls are seperated by weight classes. No entry fee.

Old Timer's Days Couple - Introduction on stage with Ruth Scott
Couples are chosen in August by a letter of nomination. The winners are recognized as Old Timer's Days Couple, there story read and winners receive cup trophy & flowers.

Any business in and around town can participate. Three categories awarded including People's Choice Award, one business is voted best by the people.

Queen's Contest -  5 girls will compete for the title of Old Timer's Day Queen on the Main stage.  Committee: Sally Cunningham, Marie Palmer & Cynthia Rader

 Grace Fellowship Praise Band -  Christian band.
